Job description

We are seeking a Dishwashing & Kitchen Support Staff at Applebee's. The successful candidate will maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment and assist with food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, plateware, and utensils in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.
• Assist in food preparation procedures.
• Scrape and pre‑rinse food from dirty dishes and place them in the dishwashing machine.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Wash work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment, and floors.
• Clean garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assemble, maintain, and break down the dish machine.

Qualifications

• Transport cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on both high and low shelves.
• Work indoors (90%) and outdoors (10%).
• Work frequently in a hot and damp environment.
• Respond to emergency situations to avoid imminent danger to self and others.
