Job summary

Eataly in Los Angeles is seeking a Prep Cook to prepare a variety of cold foods and ingredients for restaurant production. Reports to the Sous Chef Manager.

Responsibilities include washing and preparing vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, following recipes and health regulations, cleaning utensils, and performing other duties as assigned. This seasonal role runs ~three months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of kitchen experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 poundsand exert well-paced mobility
• Ability to spend up to 8 hours standing or walking in a kitchen and restaurant environment
• Ability to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers, ovens, torches, etc.

Compensation: Pay range is set at $18.42 – $19 an hour.
