Morrison Healthcare at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, VA is hiring a full-time Prep Cook. Schedule runs from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm with rotating weekends; applications are online.

A 1-year batch cooking background is required, with a pay range of $17.50–$17.75 per hour and a $1,500 sign‑on bonus distributed over 30 and 90 days. This role prepares food and serves guests while adhering to federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of batch cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives daily production schedule from the Chef and prepares items per quantities and recipes.
• Completes production worksheets and waste logs; tastes meals for quality.
• Operates and cleans equipment after each use per dept. procedures.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items per policy; follows HACCP guidelines.
• Completes required documentation, reports and logs as required.
• Ensures compliance with health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items with short prep times.
• Serves customers efficiently and courteously at multiple stations.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards for proper quality and portion control.
• Resolves customer concerns and performs other duties as assigned.
