Qualifications

• 1-2 years of food preparation experience preferred.
• 1 year of restaurant experience preferred.
• Current certifications as required by state and local laws.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation rules.

Responsibilities

• Washing, trimming, cutting, and preparing foods for cooking.
• Assisting line cooks as per their instructions.
• Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Measuring ingredients as required for specific food items.
• Operating cooking equipment and safely cleaning it after use.
• Verifying that prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
• Coordinating cooking times and equipment usage based on daily menus.
• Unloading and storing deliveries in an orderly manner.
• Communicating inventory needs to the kitchen manager.
• Performing opening and closing duties to maintain cleanliness.
