Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a kitchen associate to prepare and portion food items, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards. The role emphasizes strong customer service awareness, food safety, and the ability to work across multiple Legends Global venues in Wichita and Andover.

You will follow chef specifications, maintain cleanliness, and handle ingredients with proper temperature control while supporting a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior work in kitchen, food preparation preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Attend all Training both for Food and Beverage department and within the venue.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recipes as directed; measure ingredients and prepare them in accordance to chef’s specifications.
• Wash and peel ingredients for meals.
• Cut and portion different types of meat according to specifications.
• Prepare different types of food, carefully following the recipes.
• Accept or reject ingredients based on appearance and quality.
• Keep track of ingredient quantities and ensure there are always enough for the day/week/event.
• Store ingredients in dedicated containers, making sure they are best preserved.
• Clean and sanitize working surfaces, tools, utensils and area.
• Carefully direct the food temperature and the temperature from cooling rooms to ensure ingredients kept are at the appropriate temperature.
• Must take direction well.
• Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
• Follow rules and regulations of Legends Global.
• Regular attendance is an essential job function.
• Position requires the ability to work at all Legends Global venues in Wichita and Andover.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties

• Reports to Executive Sous Chef in appropriate uniform, for assigned location.
• Follows all rules and regulations which apply to the Food and Beverage Division.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior catering or kitchen work in food service.
• Basic math.
• Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Positive attitude and neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Attend all Training both for Food and Beverage department and within the venue.

Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.

Physical Demands

This position requires stooping and lifting up to 45 lbs., substantial standing and walking. Hand and finger dexterity to use knife to chop, dice, prep food, and open containers and close containers. May need to enter walk-in refrigerator or freezer and be capable of handling the change in temperature.
