Postino WineCafe in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Prep Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. You’ll prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and maintain cleanliness under the direction of cooks and managers. We value teamwork, hospitality, and consistent quality in a lively restaurant setting.

Full-time or part-time roles available with flexible schedules, including early mornings and late nights. State Food Handler’s Certification is required; a Culinary or Hospitality degree is preferred but not

• 1 year of full-service restaurant kitchen cook experience.
• Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
• State Food Handler’s Certification is required.
• Flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays; shifts as early as 7 a.m. and as late as 2 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and follow recipes, clean and sanitize equipment, and organize the kitchen under supervision.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Prep Cook your responsibility is to perform routine tasks that include completing preparation of food and recipes, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and organizing the kitchen under the directions of cooks, chefs, or food service managers.

Requirements

• Full time (30 hours or more) or part time position (30 hours or less) that requires a flexible schedule, often working weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Normal shifts include as early as 7 a.m. and as late as 2 a.m. and can fluctuate often
• The position requires 1 year of full-service restaurant Kitchen cook experience. Internal candidates must be in good standing and free of performance issues including 1-year time-period. Combined work experience and education will be considered in decisions.
• Associate’s degree in Culinary, Hospitality, Management, or Business preferred but not required
• State Food Handler’s Certification is required
