Job summary

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Texas is seeking a part-time Prep Cook to join our team and support on-site event catering for banquets, weddings and conferences. You will prepare large quantities of food, coordinate with event organizers, and ensure dishes are presented to a high standard for many guests.

The role requires a friendly, upbeat attitude, availability for varied days and shifts, and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to be pleasant, upbeat and sociable.
• Willing to work varying days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely manner.
• Remain knowledgeable about the restaurant menu and make accommodations on individual orders as requested by guests.
• Set up, stocks, and organizes workstation throughout the shift.
• Practice proper storeroom and inventory control procedures.
• Follow proper heating and cooling standards.
• Resolve problems with wait staff, customer orders, or other food-related issues in the kitchen in a timely and efficient manner.
• Understand the safety practices and know the correct set up, operation, breakdown and cleanup of all equipment.
• Maintain utensils such as knives in safe and appropriate working condition as well as ensure that all utensils are clean before each use.
• Label, date, and properly store prepped and cooked foods.
• Follows proper safety and sanitation guidelines according to local and company health regulations.
• Assists with Guest recovery and notifies manager to ensure positive Guest experiences.
• Constant working knowledge of Andretti brand, product and policies and procedures.
• Performs Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The part-time Andretti Prep Cook is a culinary professional who specializes in preparing large quantities of food for events such as banquets, weddings, conferences, and other gatherings.
