Job summary

ISS Facility Services / Guckenheimer is seeking a Prep Production Cook to produce visually appealing and good tasting foods to Guckenheimer standards. You will prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts under the direction of the Cook or Chef, and serve customers during meal periods.

Wage is $22.00–$23.00 per hour, with typical hours 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This full-time role offers benefits including medical and dental insurance; ServSafe certification

Qualifications

• Must be able to use standard kitchen equipment correctly and safely.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs.
• Ability to coordinate work with and follow direction of chef/cook.
• Use of food cost control methods.
• ServSafe certification or City/State Food Handler Card.
• Cash handling experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Season and cook food according to recipes and experience.
• Observe and test foods, adjust seasoning to taste.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve to patrons.
• Regulate oven, broiler, and grill temperatures.
• Deliver hot and cold food to campus sites as needed.

Key PurposeThe Prep Production Cook is responsible for producing visually appealing and good tasting foods to Guckenheimer standards.
