Job description

Join to apply for the Prep Cook role at Ruth's Chris Steak House.

All BOH positions are expected to report to work as scheduled, be in correct uniform, and maintain positive personal hygiene and cleanliness during all shifts. Each team member will receive their station assignment at the beginning of the shift and perform opening and closing duties as directed by the Manager on Duty. Maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety is essential, and all safety guidelines must be followed. Any unsafe conditions, acts, accidents, or injuries should be reported immediately to the Chef or Manager on Duty.

Duties and Expectations
  1. Assist kitchen personnel in food preparation and sidework as assigned by the Chef.
  2. Prepare all food according to Ruth's Chris recipes, standards, and procedures.
  3. Cook and serve food items ensuring quality, timing, and presentation standards are met.
  4. Check par and stock levels of ingredients and supplies before shifts, reporting discrepancies to the Chef.
  5. Season, cook, and plate food to meet quality standards.
  6. Coordinate with the broiler cook to ensure timely food preparation.
  7. Restock food items, condiments, and supplies throughout the shift.
  8. Adhere to safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  9. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
