Job summary

THE ONE GROUP is seeking an AM Prep Cook to join our kitchen, with Sunday through Thursday availability. You will prep, portion, and organize ingredients, following recipes precisely and upholding high food safety standards to ensure service runs smoothly.

You will work closely with chefs and line cooks, maintain clean prep stations, and assist with mise en place, knife work, and basic butchery as needed. A strong team ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Prep Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen preferred
• Strong knife skills and understanding of basic culinary techniques
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and specifications
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs for use in various dishes
• Assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food products to prevent waste
• Ensure the prep station is fully stocked, clean, and always organized
• Work closely with chefs and line cooks to ensure smooth kitchen flow
• Follow recipe guidelines and portion controls to maintain consistency and quality
• Assist in the daily mise en place, ensuring all necessary prep is completed before service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, following all health department regulations
• Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm

What We're Looking For
