The Prep Cook is a critical position in the kitchen to ensure recipe adherence, quality control, and overall sanitation. You will partner with cooks and opening managers to set up each shift for success, working closely in a fast‑paced environment and being cross‑trained on all recipes.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Prepare necessary food items for meal periods and next services.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Prep food for scheduled meal periods.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions.
• Alert chef or sous‑chef of any food deficiencies.
• Notify management of any pertinent shift information.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a support/prep cook role.
• High school graduate.
• Food handler’s card.
• Fluent in verbal and written English with guests, management, and co‑workers.
• Complete knowledge of cooking techniques required to prepare restaurant menu items.
• Complete knowledge of preparation methods, ingredients, quality standards, appearance, texture, and temperature.
• Complete knowledge of maintenance and use of food serving and preparation equipment.
• Ability to comprehend prep sheets.
