We are currently seeking a
Prep Cook

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned)

  • Prepare ingredients for recipes, including washing, chopping, slicing, and measurements.
  • Prepare food items and displays according to designated recipes, portion control guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
  • Label and date all prepared items accurately.
  • Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and sanitation standards. .
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or kitchen supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three or more years of experience in hospitality food preparation is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Kansas City Food Handler permit is required.
ABILITIES
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of menu and all food products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to make continuous and repetitive arm-hand movements (i.e. slicing or chopping food).
  • Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly during the shift (i.e. removing items from stoves, ovens and refrigerators).
  • Ability to lift and carry between 20-50 lbs over short distances (20 feet or less).
COMPENSATION
  • $17.00 - $20.00 per hour starting pay.
  • $500 bonus after your first 90 days.
