Es Vedra Cinemas is seeking a Prep Cook to support daily operations in our busy kitchen and help deliver high-quality menu items. The role emphasizes food safety, sanitation, and collaboration with management to complete prep lists and additional duties as needed.

The position involves learning multiple line positions, operating standard kitchen equipment, and maintaining clean, organized workstations while following company recipes and portion controls.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous prep/line cook experience preferred.
• Availability to work holidays, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stations are set up and ready for the shift.

• Keep stations, prep areas, equipment, tools, and coolers clean.

Job Description

The Prep Cook will communicate with management to be notified of specific prep tasks and the order in which they should be completed. They will finish the daily prep list and prioritize additional duties assigned by management. The role emphasizes responsible food safety and sanitation, maintaining clean and well-kept kitchens.

Responsibilities

• Learn multiple line positions
• Properly operate kitchen equipment
• Ensure stations are set up and ready for the shift
• Prepare food according to recipes and safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards
• Keep stations, prep areas, equipment, tools, and coolers clean and maintained
• Prepare all menu items according to company recipes and standards
• Comply with portion control, quality control, and prep recipes
• Label, date, initial, and rotate procedures
• Communicate properly with management and others
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• HS Diploma or GED certificate

• Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion
• Able to work in an environment with loud noise, flashing lights, and repetitive motion
