United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (USPI) is seeking a Preoperative/Postoperative PACU Registered Nurse for our Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center-Cypress in Tampa.

This role focuses on recovery care for anesthesia and post-operative support within an ambulatory surgery setting. You'll monitor vital signs, educate patients and families, document care, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure safe, timely interventions.

Responsibilities

Preoperative Postoperative PACU Registered Nurse at Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center-Cypress

Florida Orthopeadic Institute Surgery Center-Cypress is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Tampa, Florida.

Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.

Preoperative Postoperative PACU Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

• Monitoring pre and post-operative patients' levels of consciousness during recovery from anesthesia.
• Measuring and recording patients' vital signs.
• Closely observing patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication.
• Treating pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia.
• Updating charts, patient files, and medical records.
• Collaborating with the medical team on post-operative patient care and facilitating timely specialized interventions.
• Providing comfort and reassurance to distressed post-operative patients and concerned family members.
• Educating patients and their families on pre and post-surgery care, as well as answering questions.
