Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking an experienced RN to join its Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team on a full-time schedule of Fri–Sun, 7a–7p, with 3x12s. You will provide direct patient care across geriatrics, adults, adolescents and pediatrics, and contribute to post-op care plans.

Florida RN license, ACLS/BLS, and 1+ year PACU or critical care experience preferred; associate degree required, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Computer proficiency required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Advanced IV skill set preferred.
• Experience with medical records system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in direct patient care across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations, analyzing and interpreting patient-specific information to assess and reassess individual nursing care plans.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills when interpreting changes in patients' immediate post-operative conditions.
• Communicates patient information to all appropriate caregivers to ensure effective continuum of care.
• Manages and interprets all patient monitoring devices in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment competently.
• Provides accurate, timely documentation, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver competent, effective, cost-efficient patient care.

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
