Job summary

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of two years clinical experience.
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work at the computer for long periods and respond to customers.
• Knowledge of equipment for surgical procedures and age-appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer education on tests and procedures.
• Conducts pre-anesthesia interviews thoroughly.
• Ensures completeness of pre-operative data and testing.
• Provides peri-operative education to patient/family.
• Notifies disciplines of preparatory interventions and treatments.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and development awareness.
• Participates in education planning and department training.
• Completes annual competency program and documentation.
• Provides training for projects and promotes a positive image.
