Job summary

USPI Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Center North Freeway is seeking a motivatd PreOP PACU RN for a fast-paced ASC environment. Position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call, with some later evenings.

The RN provides quality perioperative patient care, supporting the mission and operations of the center. The role reports to the Peri-operative Services Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and medical plan of care.
• Deliver safe, effective, patient-family centered care in the perioperative setting.
• Maintain aseptic technique and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.

The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.
