Job summary

Seaside Surgery Center in Naples, FL is hiring a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse for a full-time position. The RN will provide continuity and high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy throughout the PACU and perioperative process.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited RN program, holds an active Florida RN license, and has BLS and ACLS. PACU or critical care experience is preferred, with strong nursing judgment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
