Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, LLC in Austell, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse – Preop/PACU to play a vital role in our state-of-the-art surgery center. In this position, you will assess and monitor preoperative patients, ensuring they experience safe and effective recovery post-anesthesia.

What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse – Preop/PACU at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Assess and monitor preoperative patients, obtain vital signs, review medical history, and ensure informed consent is complete
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, manage pain, and address any complications to ensure safe and comfortable recovery
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner within the EMR
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to coordinate patient care and ensure a seamless surgical experience
• Recognize and act on changes in patient condition, using independent clinical judgment and facility protocols to guide decisions
• Excel under pressure and maintain a calm, clear head in dynamic clinical situations
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and surgical teams
• Have excellent critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Bring a team-oriented attitude and prioritizes patient safety and comfort
• Value precision and detail in documentation and clinical execution

What You’ll Need
