Job summary

J&J Worldwide Services CBRE Government and Defense Business is seeking a Pool Operator to service and maintain pools and spas, including filtering and purification equipment. The role requires maintaining chemical balance, performing regular water tests, and keeping accurate records.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing pool systems, maintaining safety with hazardous chemicals, and handling physical tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in grounds maintenance.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have a Department of Health Pool Certification or Maryland State Accredited Certified Pool Operator Course.
• Frequent heavy or intense physical requirements.
• Frequent exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.
• Injury may require professional treatment or hospitalization; constant precautions required (face mask, safety glasses, ear protection).
• Stand for extended periods; able to push, pull, bend, kneel, and stretch.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain filtering and purification equipment used for pools.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps and equipment.
• Maintain proper chemical balance.
• Clean and maintain the pool area and deck.
• Respond to work orders to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
• Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Transport and store hazardous chemicals.
• Regularly test water quality (Chlorine and pH).
• Maintain manual or automated records and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
