Job summary

Port Madison Enterprises is seeking a Horticulturalist to maintain the Suquamish Clearwater Casino, Resort grounds, and Kiana Lodge areas. The role focuses on skilled landscaping, neat presentation, and proactive guest-friendly service.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years landscaping experience. Training in safety, OSHA basics, and Master Gardener programs is valued; flexibility with outdoor conditions is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1–2 years landscaping experience preferred.
• Interest and/or training in local Master Gardener program encouraged.
• Basic understanding of planting practices to extend plant life and visual appeal.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cut lawns with hand or power mower.
• Trim and edge walkways, flowerbeds and walls.
• Prune shrubs and trees.
• Remove plant debris, especially in guest areas.
• Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs.
• Clean drainage ditches and culverts.
• Maintain appearance of sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.
• Safely operate all equipment and tools.
• Provide spectacular service during guest and staff interactions.
