Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience in fly fishing instruction.
• Ideal candidate will have prior experience in upscale outdoor recreation or guest service.
• Familiar with safety regulations and procedures related to fly fishing and shooting instructor.
• Comfortable working with a wide range of audiences and able to adjust style and tone accordingly.
• Virginia driver's license.
• Excellent driving record.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, wind, and extreme heat.
• Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be willing to subject to a drug screen and MVR background check.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and emergency procedures.
• Share information about the resort and activities with guests and employees.
• Supervise fishing staff to ensure etiquette, technique and service delivery.
• Facilitate fishing trips with resort guests.
• Facilitate fly fishing casting clinics for resort guests.
• Maintain knowledge of outdoor activity operations and shuttle routes.
• Check the daily schedule in Resort Suite.
• Maintain cleanliness of fishing activity areas and vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
