Qualifications

• One to three years of painting, finishing, surface-preparation, or closely related construction experience preferred; equivalent demonstrated skill will be considered.
• Working knowledge of brushes, rollers, masking methods, sanding equipment, caulking, patching, and basic coating application.
• Some exposure to spray-painting equipment or a strong willingness and ability to learn spray application under supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, product data sheets, safety requirements, and established quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, color awareness, and depth perception.
• Dependable attendance, professional conduct, and willingness to receive instruction and corrective feedback.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and cooperatively as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, masking, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, filling, and priming.
• Apply paint, primer, stain, sealer, clear coat, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Assist with and develop proficiency in spray application, including equipment setup, masking and containment, material preparation, test patterns, application, cleanup, and basic maintenance.
• Produce smooth, uniform finishes on walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinetry, millwork, and other detailed surfaces as assigned.
• Mix and match materials according to manufacturer instructions and project specifications while minimizing waste.
