Job summary

New Mexico Mutual is seeking a Premium Auditor to conduct workers’ compensation premium audits both remotely and at insured locations or at an independent accounting firm. The role provides guidance on NCCI rules and classifications and supports other departments.

The position requires travel within the territory, strong analytical ability, and excellent customer service to insureds and agents. A background in premium audit and office software is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in workers' compensation or premium audit; two+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct audits remotely or at insured locations; review final records for correct premium basis.
• Assess policyholder operations, exposures, claims, and NCCI classifications and rules.
• Summarize audit work papers and prepare complete audit reports for submission.
