Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary will be determined by factors such as the scope, complexity, and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

What Is the Opportunity?

Our Enterprise Operations teams at Travelers deliver exceptional customer and agent experiences, drive revenue and underwriting results, and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency. The Premium Audit group conducts audits on property & casualty commercial lines policies to establish appropriate classifications, exposures, and basis of premium, in accordance with regulations. As a Premium Auditor, you will conduct complex audits with limited oversight and may guide less experienced auditors. Audits may be virtual and/or in-person.

This position is fully remote, supporting the California territory, with core business hours aligned with the Pacific Time Zone.

What Will You Do?
  1. Conduct audits of moderate to highly complex Commercial Lines policies, reviewing financial and business records to determine proper classifications and exposures.
  2. Communicate audit findings to customers, agents/brokers, and underwriters to clarify premium exposure changes.
  3. Develop relationships with customers, agents/brokers, underwriters, and internal partners.
  4. Stay informed on updates related to premium auditing through internal and external resources.
  5. Mentor less experienced auditors as needed.
  6. Participate in projects, presentations, and represent the company in routine court appearances as assigned.
  7. Perform other duties as required.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  1. At least three years of premium audit experience across multiple property and casualty lines.
  2. Completion of APA 91 and 92.
  3. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
  4. Excellent analytical skills for conducting efficient audits.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
What Is a Must Have?
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Two years of related premium audit experience.
  3. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
