Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
• CPR certification required.
• MSDE 90-Hour Preschool Training Certification within 30 days of hire OR CDA credentials with preschool designation by 7/1/2027 OR earn an associate’s degree in early childhood education or child development by 7/1/2027.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification within the program’s specified timeframe following date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist PreK Lead Teacher in implementing instructional and assessment activities using effective academic, social emotional, and behavioral strategies to support student success.
• Support classroom operations and instructional delivery by completing duties as assigned by supervising teachers and program leadership.
• Provide instruction, supervision, classroom management support, and coverage under the direction of the supervising teacher, ensuring a positive, safe, and structured learning environment.
• Implement behavioral protocols and classroom assignments during instructional and non-instructional times.
• Utilize instructional and non-instructional time effectively and professionally, while adhering to established program and administrative guidelines.
• Assist with meal preparation, food distribution, and food service operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation and service areas, adhering to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and professional development activities.
• Support and help facilitate curricular and extracurricular activities that support student-life, engagement, and promote a positive school culture.
• Assist in integrating technology into instruction and classroom activities, in accordance with supervising teacher’s directions and program requirements.
• Perform administrative support duties and operational tasks as assigned.
