Job summary

Young World Physical Education in Texas is seeking a PreK ESL HeadStart Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will provide students with appropriate learning activities to help them reach their full potential. You will develop curriculum plans and create a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Eligible candidates must hold a valid Texas teaching certificate and preferably an ESL Supplemental Certification. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with experience in instructional methods.

Qualifications

• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences.
• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned.
• Assist students in analyzing and improving methods and habits of study.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.

Skills

Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

Knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Fluent with technology use

Education

Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned
