The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit 23 is hiring a part-time Program Aide to support the Office of Early Childhood Services – PreK Counts. The role involves assisting preschool students (ages 3-5) and collaborating with the classroom team to promote healthy development and learning.

Work is Monday–Friday up to 5 hours per day, 10 months per year, with an hourly rate of $15.52. Applicants must have clearance certificates and reliable transportation to the site in Montgomery County.

Qualificações

• Desire to work with pre-school age students and help them grow socially and academically.
• Ability to perform physical activities including lifting, being outdoors all seasons, and daily routines.
• Provide own transportation to and from site.
• Ability to relate to young children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, the Child Abuse Registry and PDE FBI.

Responsabilidades

• Help children develop self-help skills during mealtime and toileting.
• Assist with meal preparation and classroom operation.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Prepare for, participate in, and clean up after activities.
• Help children participate in daily activities and gain independent skills.
• Contribute to daily and weekly classroom planning.
• Work cooperatively as a member of the classroom team.
• Participate in activities planned for parents and promote community connections.
• Adhere to MCIU policies and directives.
