Qualifications

• Must meet minimum requirements for instructional support personnel with 48 college credits OR a passing score on the Paraprofessional exam with a score of at least 455.
• Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Skilled in creating and maintaining wholesome relationships with children.
• Articulate and accurate in the use of written and spoken language.
• Has good human relations and communication skills.
• Ability to use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Performs general instructional-related duties, including duplicating materials, preparing materials, and working with students to reinforce instruction.
• Works under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher.
• Assists the teacher and other professionals through general supervision of students.
• Maintains required records and corrects tests and homework papers when appropriate.
• Provides instruction to students in accordance with the teacher's plans in small group settings.
• Promotes goodwill and acceptance of the county's programs and actions.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned.
