Job summary
Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) seeks an outstanding Development Economics Predoctoral Research Fellow to support empirical analysis and administration for impact evaluations in Kenya and Jordan. You will perform data cleaning, literature reviews, and evidence synthesis for technical and non-technical audiences, under Edward Miguel.
Predocs may assist with research partnerships, grant proposals, and progress reports, while gaining exposure to UC Berkeley’s vibrant academic life and
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree.
- Strong econometric analysis and programming skills (Stata/R/Python).
- Experience with LaTeX and GitHub or similar tools.
- Ability to read and analyze economics papers and synthesize findings.
- Experience with large datasets and cloud computing desirable.
Responsibilities
- Support empirical analysis and data cleaning for impact evaluations.
- Assist with literature reviews and evidence synthesis for diverse audiences.
- Contribute to grant proposals and progress reports to funding sources.
- Provide administrative support to CEGA projects and PIs.
- Collaborate with multi-national teams and field partners; possible travel.
