• Must hold a DDS or DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school or foreign equivalent.
• Texas dental license or eligibility for licensure in Texas.
• AEGD or General Practitioner (GPR) training highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including diagnostic, preventive, restorative and other general dental treatments.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EHR system.
• Follow clinical guidelines and participate in clinical operations and patient management meetings.
• Contribute to course administration and instruction in preclinical and clinical settings; employ case-based, lecture and simulation methods.
• Engage in clinical practice of general dentistry as part of teaching and service.

Job description

This role provides comprehensive dental services to patients while also supporting the educational mission of the school through collaboration in a dynamic clinical environment, though is not directly involved in supervision of students. The position will hold the title of a Clinical Assistant, Associate or Professor at Non-Tenure track level. Deliver direct patient care, including diagnostic, preventive, restorative, and other general dental treatments. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of dental professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic health record (EHR) system. Follow established clinical guidelines and best practices to ensure optimal patient care and safety. Participate in departmental meetings related to clinical operations and patient management.

Academic rank and salary are commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. The responsibilities of this position include course administration and instruction in preclinical courses and clinical settings. We employ a diverse range of teaching methods, including case-based instruction, group discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and simulations. Furthermore, the position entails participation in clinical practice of general dentistry.

Qualifications: Must have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), from a ADA accredited dental school or foreign equivalent degree. In addition, they must hold a Texas Dental license or be eligible for licensure in Texas. Completion of an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) or General Practitioner (GPR) program is highly preferred. Extensive broad-based general dentistry clinical experience is also desirable. Strong clinical skills and commitment to delivering patient-centered care. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
