Job summary

MP Materials in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Reliability Technician to support the facility reliability program by performing predictive maintenance inspections and equipment condition monitoring across plant assets. This role focuses on identifying early indicators of equipment degradation through predictive technologies and inspection routines.

The Reliability Technician works closely with the Reliability Engineer and Maintenance teams to detect emerging issues before failures occur.

Qualifications

3–7 years of industrial maintenance or predictive maintenance experience.
Experience with rotating equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, and gearboxes.
Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring, infrared thermography, or ultrasound inspection.
Basic computer skills including MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

Perform predictive maintenance inspections including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound monitoring, and lubrication analysis.
Conduct equipment condition monitoring inspections on rotating and process equipment.
Document equipment health conditions and report abnormal findings to the reliability engineering team.
Support development of predictive maintenance routes for critical equipment.
Upload inspection findings and reliability data into CMMS or reliability monitoring systems.
Monitor condition of motors, pumps, conveyors, and other rotating equipment.
