SOLV Energy, LLC in San Diego, CA is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead the Preconstruction Group through notice of award to mobilization, coordinating cost, schedule, and scope.
This full-time, in-office role requires strong leadership, bid package preparation, LNTP negotiations, and close collaboration with engineering, procurement, and legal teams; travel up to 25% may be required.
Job Description Summary: The Preconstruction Project Manager is responsible for leading the Preconstruction Group’s efforts with daily management, coordination, and successful completion of the project scope, budget, and schedule from notice of award to project mobilization. Additional responsibilities include managing project meetings, performing cost comparisons, updating project schedules, managing contract exhibits through execution, and strategic buyout negotiations as needed to maintain budget. This role is based full-time in our office in San Diego, CA. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements: Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience Thorough understanding of plans and specifications Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent) Leadership ability – able to pull together team members from diverse backgrounds in a remote environment and organize them into a cohesive, high-performing project team Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills Strong computer skills with MS Office suite, as well as other industry-standard tools, such as Bluebeam Revu Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting Organizational and communication skills; must have strong people skills Detail-oriented, motivated self-starter Able to travel (estimated 25%) 5+ years construction experience 2+ years scheduling and estimating experience Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation Range: $110,448.00 - $138,060.00 Pay Rate Type: Salary
