The Preconstruction Manager will oversee complex, large‑scale commercial projects from early design and permitting through budgeting, contract execution, and stakeholder coordination. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven leader who thrives in early‑phase project strategy and cross‑disciplinary collaboration.

Description

The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for managing all preconstruction efforts on major commercial projects, ensuring seamless progression from concept to execution. This includes overseeing design development, site analysis, permitting, scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation. The role requires advanced problem‑solving, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members while collaborating with project stakeholders, vendors, and field teams. The Preconstruction Manager plays a key leadership role in setting project direction, establishing budgets, and preparing the project for a successful build.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex industrial and commercial projects from design completion through permitting and contract execution
  • Lead all preconstruction activities supporting both field and office project operations
  • Demonstrate strong financial and business acumen throughout project planning

Qualifications

  • Background in high‑rise, multifamily, senior living, hospitality, industrial, or student housing projects
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, design processes, and site development
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Skilled in budgeting, estimating, and financial oversight
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client‑facing abilities
  • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship
