Job summary

TradeLink Solutions Company in Nashville/Brentwood, TN is seeking an Estimator to join our expanding multifamily team. The Senior Estimator will lead bid activity, perform quantity take-offs, coordinate with owners, design teams and subcontractors, and drive cost analyses from concept to bid package.

This role focuses on estimating multifamily projects including garden-style and mid-rise developments, with potential for growth and leadership within the estimating group.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating experience within multifamily new-construction developments.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Vast knowledge of the stick-framing apartment estimating process.
• Knowledge of wood-framed & multifamily construction processes/delivery methods.
• Skilled in estimating programs—Onscreen Take-off, SmartBid and Sage Estimating knowledge is a plus.
• Shearwall experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bid process including risk assessment, quantity surveying, self-performance pricing, scheduling, bid solicitation, subcontractor scope coordination and final bid assembly.
• Lead the efforts to estimate multifamily new-construction projects to successful completion.
• Management of estimating team to achieve company goals.
• Train and support project team members with tasks you assign them.
• Coordinate efforts with Operations and other estimators to deliver final products to clients.
• Provide cost expertise to clients and design team members to assist in making decisions.
• Effectively communicate with subs/suppliers for qualifying proposals, VE and RFIs.
• Perform schematic, design development and construction document estimates for management projects, budgeting all scopes, value analysis, and presentations to Owner/design team.
• Review and understand all bid documents (drawings, specs, geotechnical reports).
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Generate RFIs and pricing lists.

Estimator (OR Senior Estimator) For Multifamily Construction Company in Nashville / Brentwood, TN

This Multifamily General Construction Company is a local Nashville TN construction manager, general contractor and design-builder with a 40+ year track record of proven success. We believe in growth and invest in career planning & development to lead construction innovation within the industry.

They specialize in multifamily new developments in the student-housing, garden-style, podium wrap & mid-rise structure. Many of these projects exceed $40Million in value and they are looking for an estimator that can work through all stages of construction from concept to workable plans & bid package.

Their estimating process works through the entire preconstruction stages from project concept & plans review, quantity take-offs, subcontractor and supplier solicitation, qualification of scopes, to final pricing review with clients.

The Company iscurrently seeking an Estimator to join the estimating team at our Nashville office. The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Senior Estimator will:

• Perform schematic, design development and construction document estimates for our Construction Management projects. This includes budgeting all scopes of work, value analysis of current design, communication with and presentation to Owner and design team.
• Review and understand all bid documents (drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, etc.)
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Generate RFIs and pricing lists

• Bachelor's degree preferred

The ideal candidate must have a strong record of successful bidding and/or managing multifamily construction projects that include:

• Market rate garden style, wrap/mid-rise, student housing, and HUD developments.
• Experience with complex projects that include elevated concrete podiums, pre-cast and cast in place parking structures.
• Intricate and unique sitework packages
• Schedule driven work environment.
