Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Research Technician to perform standard laboratory procedures under supervision, contributing to thoracic preclinical research and day-to-day data collection. You will execute experimental protocols, record data, maintain equipment, and may guide students.

A strong foundation in lab techniques, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with others are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science field (such as Biology, Animal Science or related discipline).
• Two (2) years prior experience in a research, clinical, or other scientific environment.
• Hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting.
• Comfortable with and willing to work with preclinical models.

Responsibilities

• Execute experimental protocols, collect/record data, and maintain lab equipment.
• Split time between daily preclinical and routine lab work focused on thoracic research.
• Provide guidance to students when applicable.
