Job summary

UTHealth Houston seeks a Research Assistant to conduct and coordinate daily preclinical research on stroke and heart-brain interactions, including animal experiments, tissue collection, laboratory assays, and data analysis.

Under supervision, you will support mouse colony management, maintain records, and collaborate across the research team. Minimum education is a Bachelor's degree; RA II requires one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required. May substitute with equivalent years of experience.
• RA II requires one year of related experience in a research or clinical lab environment or equivalent education beyond the minimum.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments and data collection to support research objectives.
• Collect, organize, and prepare data for investigators; maintain notebooks, records, and databases.
• Maintain clean lab equipment and work areas; order supplies as directed; ensure compliance with training.
