Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is hiring a Preclinical Research Technologist to support studies for medical device development. You will help generate preclinical evidence across animate, inanimate, and cadaveric models, under guidance, supporting study execution and documentation.

The role emphasizes compliance with GLP and internal policies, cross-functional collaboration, and on-site work in Cincinnati. A background in preclinical research and strong documentation practices are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent in a scientific field.
• Familiarity with GLP regulations (FDA 21 CFR Part 58).
• Experience in preclinical research or a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists in product evaluations with models and data.
• Assists in research and development of minimally invasive robotic surgery products.
• Contributes to preclinical evidence aligned to R&D, regulatory and commercial needs.
• Ensures accurate documentation of laboratory data under supervision.
• Supports study logistics and equipment requests for studies.
• Ensures lab activities comply with USDA, AAALAC and J&J policies.
• Supports SOP creation and data collection for GLP and non-GLP studies.
• Assists in preclinical animal studies to assess safety and performance.
• Works in a team-oriented environment embracing ownership and accountability.
• Builds relationships with key business partners internally.
