Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years welding experience and trade school education. The role may involve operating CNC machines, Swiss machines, and manual turning equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 2 years welding experience.
• Trade school education may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret weld requirements from mechanical drawings and symbols.
• Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments using TIG, GTAW, SMAW, and laser welding processes.
• Monitor welding and fitting to avoid overheating, distortion, or warping of parts.
• Inspect completed welds using precision measuring tools and perform basic machine maintenance.
