Job summary

KAD Staffing seeks an experienced welder for production welding on carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals. You will read blueprints, operate welding equipment, and ensure weld quality per WPS. This role requires basic lifting device usage and collaboration with fabrication teams.

Shift is 1st, 5am-3pm, M-TH; candidates should be able to log operations into ERP and follow safety/quality protocols. Prior lean manufacturing exposure is a plus and ongoing training may be provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in production welding.
  • Ability to obtain necessary weld certifications.
  • Experience with GMAW and GTAW processes.
  • Proficiency reading blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and measuring devices (calipers, height gauges, protractors).
  • Experience with aluminum welding and lean manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding on carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals according to specifications.
  • Identify and repair weld defects and inspect welds for quality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and drawings to determine requirements.
  • Set up welding equipment under supervision and select filler metals as needed.
  • Complete weldments using fixtures per WPS and document operations in ERP system.
  • Cross-train and operate robotic weld equipment as needed.
  • Follow safety and quality policies to meet industry standards.
