Job summary

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is seeking a full-time Warehouse Packer at our Waggaman, LA location. Responsibilities include assembling and packing orders, quality checks, and preparing shipments with proper job numbers.

You will pull required hardware, handle will-call orders, and report any non-conformities to management. The ideal candidate can read drawings, has basic computer skills, pays close attention to detail, and is able to stand for an 8-hour shift in a warm environment.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills required for checking orders and records.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and identify parts and numbers.
• Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
• Able to stand for 8 hours and maintain accuracy and speed.
• Experience with quality control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and pack orders per work order.
• Pull hardware needed to complete orders and verify against the order.
• Pack and prepare orders for shipping with job numbers on packages.
• Handle will-call orders and obtain customer signatures.
• Notify management of non-conformities and needed repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
