Job summary

You will handle one of several packaging duties and must read and follow production orders and labels to ensure accuracy. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED plus packaging experience, good hand-eye coordination, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate labeling and packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, plus one year experience in a warehouse packaging, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to comprehend basic work instructions.
• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Able to set up and operate a variety of types of labeling and packaging equipment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Required to meet all production and quality standards established by Lawson
• Required to record production throughout the day and submit daily production report to management.
• Packs a variety of different types of product, i.e. bagger, delta, hand pack, stock, etc.
• Reads production orders and follows instructions for each job, as outlined in production order.
• Verifies that production order and labels are correct before packaging any job.
• Sets label applicator machine for box size to run labels for jobs to be packaged.
