Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Control Valve and Positioner Assembler to turn components into reliable flow-control equipment. The role involves assembling, testing, and documenting control valves, positioners, actuators, and accessories in line with drawings and quality standards.

You will work hands-on with valve bodies, trim, tubing, and instrumentation, ensuring precise travel, leak-free operation, and complete traceability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, industrial manufacturing, valve assembly, instrumentation, or related technical environment.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions, pneumatic schematics, and bills of materials.
• Working knowledge of hand tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, and basic test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble control valves, actuators, positioners, and accessories per BOM and drawings.
• Install and align valve trim components (plugs, seats, cages, stems, packing, gaskets, bolts).
• Assemble pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and digital positioners, including mounting brackets and electrical connections.
• Set up, stroke, calibrate, and function-test control valves and positioners.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, gauges, and test equipment.
• Identify and correct assembly issues such as misalignment, air leaks, improper travel, and missing hardware.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, pneumatic schematics, and quality requirements.
• Verify materials and serial-numbered parts match the production order and BOM.
• Document assembly, inspection, calibration, testing, rework, and nonconformance activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per 5S, EHS, and safety requirements.
• Report quality concerns, drawing discrepancies, material shortages, and process-improvement opportunities.
• Support troubleshooting, repair, and rework of returned valve assemblies.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, planning, test, and shipping teams to meet production schedules.
