Job summary

Delta Building Center is seeking a truss production worker to read engineered drawings and assemble wood floor and roof trusses in a fast-paced shop environment. The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures on a mostly indoor production floor with outdoor elements.

The position emphasizes reading measurements, following engineered designs, and maintaining quality while handling power tools and heavy lumber. Training will be provided and PPE is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery to load bunks of lumber onto carts and push them into the production shop.
• Unload the cart and organize lumber onto the floor.
• Read engineered drawings and place components accordingly.
• Place metal plates on truss joints and staple components.
• Operate the truss press and power tools.
• Maintain safety and organization on the shop floor.
