Job summary

Qualified Staffing is seeking a Tornos Machine Operator for an automotive parts manufacturer in Michigan. This position offers 1st shift 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM and 2nd shift 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM, with overtime on weekends based on production needs. Pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include loading material, measuring dimensions, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining high quality standards while working in a fast-paced, long-hour environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Tornos or other lathes for metal parts.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work overtime on weekends.
• Stand for 10-12 hours when required.
• Excellent attendance.
• Some long-term work history.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a machine to manufacture metal parts.
• Read blueprints to position and secure machinery.
• Adjust machine settings to meet specs.
• Measure finished work with precision instruments.
• Mount and align workpieces on machines.
• Maintain highest level of quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
