Compacting Tooling Inc in McKeesport, PA is seeking a skilled Toolmaker/Manual Machinist to join our team. This hands-on role involves working with precision tooling and machining in a dedicated shop environment.

You will set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses, read blueprints and GD&T, and ensure tight tolerances while supporting engineering and production teams. Competitive pay and benefits available.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as Toolmaker or Manual Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency operating manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of metals, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining techniques.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and quality inspection methods.
• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent apprenticeship training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate manual machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Fabricate, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend design or process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with shop standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet manufacturing requirements.
