The Airborne Focus Factory of L3Harris Space and Mission Systems in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced Tool Maker to join the assembly and integration team. You will work on complex parts and prototypes, reading drawings and preparing documentation while collaborating with engineers to optimize manufacturability.

Strong machining/fabrication background and ability to work with fragile optomechanical assemblies are required.

Qualifications

• Must have machining/fabrication background and ability to work within tight tolerances.
• Experience reading engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
• Able to work as an individual contributor and in a team.
• Willingness to obtain US security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Operate tool-making machines in manufacturing or prototyping environments.
• Assemble and fabricate low-volume hardware and prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineers on design for manufacturability and optimization.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for manufacturing processes.
• Work with tight tolerances on sensitive optomechanical assemblies.
