Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, TN is seeking a skilled Tool & Die technician to operate tooling machinery, read blueprints, and lead maintenance projects. The role emphasizes precision measurement, safety, and the ability to respond to tooling issues on the shop floor. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications include 5+ years in Tool & Die, HS Diploma, and a technical certificate preferred. Experience with hot runner injection and stretch blow molding is a plus.

• 5+ years' experience in Tool & Die or related field.
• Experience operating Tool & Die machinery: lathes, mills, grinders, welders.
• Overhead crane/rigging experience and use of precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate all tooling machinery and equipment.
• Read blueprints and verify components meet specifications with precision tools.
• Lead tool projects and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot tooling and machine issues on the shop floor.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow safety requirements.
• Overtime may be required per business needs.
