Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to design, build, and repair precision tooling for production. You will set up CNC and manual machines, read blueprints, and perform tight-tolerance layouts to ensure quality and uptime.

The role emphasizes craftsmanship, problem solving, and continuous improvement in a 2nd shift environment from 4:30 pm to 3 am, with mandatory overtime as needed. A technical apprenticeship is required to join a skilled machining team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a technical school machine tool apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Experience with machining operations, tooling fabrication, and precision measurement.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and metalforming processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, manufacture, assemble, repair, modify, and sharpen dies, fixtures, gauges, and production tooling.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and presses.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications; perform layouts and inspections to tight tolerances (0.0005 inches).
• Troubleshoot tooling and production equipment issues to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain safe, efficient, and productive work practices with reliable attendance and overtime as needed.
