Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Racine, Wisconsin, seeks a Tool and Die Maker for 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will fabricate, repair, and calibrate metalworking dies, jigs, and fixtures, reading blueprints and using precision tools to ensure tight tolerances on production parts.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, an apprenticeship certificate or 5+ years of experience, and CNC ProtoTrak capability. Die experience with stamping or injection molds is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Tool & Die Apprenticeship Certificate or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• Stamping Die and/or Injection Mold experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with CNC equipment operation and ProtoTrak programming.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates and repairs metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools.
• Plans layout and determines materials and assembly methods from blueprints and specs.
• Operates lathes, mills, shapers, grinders, and related tools to machine parts.
• Verifies dimensions and tolerances using precision instruments and fixtures.
• May heat-treat tools or parts and assist with tool design improvements.
